Kim is a multiple award-winning journalist; as a THREE-time Hervey Award winner, and as a Charlie Silver Award honoree; all for excellence in magazine writing. She obtained her BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University & her Master's in Film from Tiffin University.
With 44 years of journalistic experience, she excels in feature writing, photography, non-fiction books, magazine design, press releases, & web design.
Kim served as the Ohio Standardbred Development Fund Administrator, managing the $8.5 million Ohio Sires Stakes for the Ohio State Racing Commission from 2015-2022.
Kimberly is also an avid horsewoman, who has competed in the hunter jumper, dressage, eventing and competitive trail riding ranks. She is a USTA-licensed trainer-driver of Standardbred racehorses and represented the United States in the 1995 International Drivers Competition in Moscow, Russia. She formerly trained racehorses in Chicago, holds a 4-H & Open Horse Show Judges License, and is a member of the following organizations:
